Company History

Jim Tate's personal interest in hi-fi and love of music prompted him to open his own store on Unley Rd in 1982.
In the ensuing years his company, Jim Tate Stereo, has developed a reputation for offering the finest equipment, advice and service.

Our company's mission statement has always been to provide their clients with the best quality sound reproduction possible.

Upon moving into our current premises in Kings Park in 1993, we were able to offer a more convenient location as well as superior demonstration facilities.

The Kings Park location is similar to many bungalow homes found in and around Adelaide. It is a most comfortable, warm and relaxing environment incorporating four tastefully decorated demonstration rooms.

Our qualified staff are knowledgeable in all aspects of design and installation of Audio, Visual and multi-room audio distribution systems. Trained in-house by Linn products of Scotland they are genuine music enthusiasts who will do their utmost to assist you.
